Appearance
Erika stands somewhere around 5'7, rather tall for her age and would often get mistaken for being older, at least seventeen. Not only with her height, but the way she dresses is another reason why people think she is older. She is slender, to the point where it doesn't look like she doesn't eat much, however no bones show so it doesn't look like she is anorexic. She wears a black sleeveless shirt with white outline and a zipper that's in the middle. She also has a matching mini skirt. On the palm of her hands are transmutation circles, tattoos of course and this is what allows her to use her alchemy. When not in a battle she will wear white gloves. Erika has thick, long golden hair that goes down to her sides. Normally her hair can be seen in two pigtails that are held up by cute small pink ribbons that have faces of small black cats on the bottom. The only reason she wears the ribbons was because they had been a birthday gift from her brother. Around her neck is the state alchemist pocket watch that she turned into a necklace, making it like a locket. On the inside there is a picture of her, Al and their father however if you were to look closely at this picture you would see that someone had taken a pen and scribbled all over Hohenheim's face. The pocket watch is round and sliver with the military symbol, that's the proof she is a state alchemist.
Personality
She tries to keep calm, or at least act like it - however that doesn't always work. Erika tends to get worked up over things, she'll turn a small problem right into a big one and is the kind of person who'll start a scene. So you could say that she has a bit of a temper and can get a bit hot-headed. She hates it when people are sexist, when they believe women can't fight and should just stay on the sidelines and if she finds someone who is like that she'll freak out and start screaming. (Like with OU!Ed and the shortness, for her it's 'sexist' comments but she also gets the 'woooah your really tall' comments that sometimes will bug her but not all the time.) Erika doesn't really care what others think about her, as long as she is herself - who she wants to be then she is happy. Along with that, she isn't afraid to speak her mind. Erika is very protective of not only her friends but her beliefs and if anything gets talked badly about she'll defend it right away, as best as she can though she is known to not win at arguments at times and would normally storm out. Other then that, when you get past all of those other things and her loudness she can be a really nice person.
Abilities/Strengths/Weapons
Well her main thing is alchemy, skill wise that's what she is good at and doesn't exactly 'fail' when preforming it. She also is good at coming up with solutions to problems under pressure and in a short given time, even if the plan will fail she'll try to play out the plan just to test it. You could also say she's pretty intelligent and stubborn, so she's good at accomplishing what she set out to do; she won't just simply quit if she doesn't get what she wants right away Erika understands that it take times.

Weapons: Will normally transmute something into a weapon, however she has taken a liking into blades.
Weaknesses
Normal white milk. See, Erika can handle chocolate milk because it has well... chocolate in it. However when drinking the chocolate milk she will pour so much chocolate in it that you wonder if you can really call it chocolate milk anymore. She can't stand normal milk and if anyone forces her to drink it she will start to rant while run away, while being angry. This leads into another weakness and that's anger issues. Like her counterpart, she easily gets angered, too easily. Small comments about normally anything will cause her to blow up and when she does she is like a bomb, loud and at times deadly, because she wants to improve her skills, she'll even start fights. The fact that she won't listen to others could also be considered a weakness. If someone tells her something and gives her a list of rules, Erika will attempt to find a loophole or just not listen at all. It's like the words enter one ear and exit through the other. If someone tells her "don't push that button" she'll grow really curious as to what will happen and temptation will take over and she will press the button.
Hisotry
Erika grew up knowing her father, Hohenheim. He had never left because his love for Trisha had been too strong even with his body falling apart. About two years after Erika had been born, her mother gave birth to a second child; Alphonse. However during the pregnancy she had been ill so delivering the child had been rough on her. After Al was born it was only hours before Trisha fell into an eternal sleep. Erika didn't understand what it was that had happened; it even took her father about a month to fully explain so that she would understand. After the dead of her mother, this left Hohenheim to take care of the two kids by himself. Thankfully the people in their small village had been kind enough to help out. This was how Erika had met Winry - Al and Erika had always stayed at her house when their father would go off to another town for "work". But he would always return; even if it was a month gap. As they all grew older, they enjoyed playing games and their games became more exciting to them when Al got older and was able to join them. Erika however started to get curious with what her father was doing and why he would leave for such a long period of time then return just to leave again.

So one night, she was about 6 years old, Erika snuck out of Winry's house and returned to her own. There she broke into her father's office and started reading through the papers and books that were there. She noticed stuff about a stone and human transmutation, and then books on alchemy. Of all things, it was the alchemy that struck her interest the most and she took a few books with her and returned to where she had been before. While everyone in Winry's house slept, Erika stayed up to read the books. At first she didn't understand, nor could she even read some of the complex words but within the year she learned how to create a transmutation circle and make things, as well as fixing them. Of course her results didn't come out perfect - it took some time before she could take a ripped doll and have the arm on the right spot and not on the head. However she had to keep this all a secret so was only able to practice at night or when she had time to herself.

When she turned 12, yeah that was a really eventful year. For her birthday, it was just her, Winry, Al and Pinako - no sign of her father. Erika didn't mind or at least acted like she didn't care when she really did. This was only because not long before he promised her he would return so in a sense she felt somewhat betrayed by her own family. Then again she was use to it so she didn't allow that to drag her down. For her birthday she received hair bows that were pink and had kittens on them from her brother; truthfully she was disgusted by it at first seeing that Erika wasn't a girly girl however she found out that Al had done extra chores to get money and buy them with no help from adults or Winry when it came to picking the item out so she was forced to like the gift but it didn't take long for her to soften up and truly like them. She would never put it in her hair though - not wanting to take the risk of ruining them. Later that night when everyone went to bed, Erika did the usual; sneaking out into the backyard to practice her alchemy; even though it was freezing outside and there was snow on the ground.

She didn't see her father until a week later after her birthday and when he returned; Erika completely ignored him - pretended like he was a fly on the wall. But because he had returned and was expected to stay longer then normal, Al and Erika were forced to return to their home. It became harder to practice because it seemed that Hohenheim became suspicious or something and whenever she thought she had time to herself she thought wrong because he would always have some kind of chore for her to do like washing the dishes or dusting the shelves. To make matters worse, Al fell really sick. No one knew what was wrong with him, his body was in pain and there was a time when he started to cough up blood. This worried Erika like you wouldn't believe and she never left his side. It was her baby brother after all, and as the older sibling she had to take care of him, make sure he would be all right. But he wouldn't, doctors still couldn't figure out what this illness was but whatever it was; it was the same their mother had when she was pregnant with Al. The only thing they could do was tell how much longer he had... and when that time came and Al moved on Erika went into a state of depression. She rarely left her brother's room and she stopped eating for a short time until Winry came and forced her to eat. Hohenheim even stopped leaving town because he was worry about her health and then surprised her with the "Haha, I know you are learning alchemy" but he didn't stop her; simply said he would teach her things she didn't know and help her make her skills improve.

Erika slowly went out of her depression state, and started up her practices again. She was given more books (even told "you don't have to steal them anymore") and she would take these books to Al's grave and read them there. It was like she felt her brother's spirit with her. This feeling kept growing stronger until she decided to do something about it. In her father's notes she once read something about human transmutation; something that was forbidden act of alchemy. After going in his office to search for the notes again (because when she did find them once before her father took them away) she found them, reading everything that had been written there. It seemed so perfect, with this she could bring back her brother AND mother. They would have the perfect family back again, it was something that excited Erika and she set her mind to it. Taking to notes she left the room to dig up her brother's grave to get the things that were required; leaving the office a huge mess. Getting the things that were needed she returned to her house and in the basement started to set everything up. She created the huge circle, placed the things in the center of it and got ready to preform the act. All that was needed was her blood. Right as she cut her finger and the blood dripped from it, Hohenheim came and thankfully before she did anything. He grabbed her by both arms and dragged her out, kicking and screaming.

Needless to say, he feared what she would do and didn't want her to do ANYTHING she would regret or something that would take her life and thus ordered her to stop with the alchemy. His exact words were "You don't need to put yourself in danger like that, a female should just stay in the back and let other men do the work". This didn't settle good in her mind, she found it really sexist though she didn't see that her father just wanted to keep her safe. Erika believed that gender didn't matter, that anyone could use alchemy; besides it was so interesting. And she also wanted to know of another way to bring someones soul back without the human transmutation. After their little argument, Erika threw things in a bag; even stole money from her father. She threw her hair up in pigtails, using the ribbon that her brother got for her to hold her hair up and left. She left the town she grew up in for the first time, all alone and leaving a note on Winry's doorstep. She found herself going to Central; the thought of joining the military crossed her mind - not only for the information that they most likely get but she would be able to prove that women can do things, the same that men can do. She even knew women were in the military, but she had to prove that she could do that even if it meant becoming a "dog". However, Erika just didn't care and when she got to central she went right to the headquarters.

It happened too fast for her brain to click what had happened but before she knew it; Erika was under the care of someone named Roy Mustang, the Flame Alchemist. At this time she had been about thirteen years of age. He may have been a busy man but he was also going to help her practice for the state exam. After she noticed that his gloves had the circle on them, this gave Erika an idea. She had little money left and went off to town, getting two transmutation circles tattooed on the palm of her hands. She went though so much pain, bitting her lip to hold the tears and screams but it was worth it. Now with a simple clap of the hands she could use alchemy, it was perfect! Roy wasn't happy with what she did, not when she could have gotten special gloves like his that would have coasted less and no pain. But Erika didn't want that because she could misplace the gloves and just didn't want to take the risk. A year and a half passed and though she wasn't in the military yet; Erika knew a lot of it's people. When Roy was busy she was often stuck with Hughes who ranted on and on about his daughter. Erika had found it cute that he cared about his daughter so much but after awhile she learned the art of tuning him out and it worked wonders when she tried to eat and had a picture being waves in her face. She also enjoyed the company of Riza Hawkeye, while she took her work seriously she was still a nice person and loved playing fetch with the dog that followed Hawkeye around.

Finally when she was 15, a few weeks after her birthday she took the state exam and by pure luck was chosen. She was given her pocket watch and title and was truly now a dog of the military. But being the new kid doesn't mean you get to do all the cool missions right away, she had to start off small. Just missions on checking up on things but even those kinds of missions Erika some how managed to fail them; by causing a riot some how and not being able to calm it down or just taking too long to finish a mission. She wasn't going to quit, all she needed was to get use to this, that's what she kept telling herself. While she was on her way back to central, Erika simply fell asleep and when she woke up she noticed she was in Econtra.
